The Work

Body acceptance
generations of oppression have wrongly taught us that worth, dignity, respect, and health status are reliant on the performative shape and size of our bodies. AS A RESULT, MANY OF US SPEND MUCH OF OUR LIVES IN CYCLES OF SHAME, FEAR, AND RESTRICTION. HOW COULD YOUR ENERGY, RELATIONSHIPS, CREATIVITY, AND DAY-TO-DAY LIFE CHANGE IF THOSE STIGMAS WERE CHALLENGED, REJECTED? what might you learn from your body once trust is re-established? How will you see and be in a world where human differences, including your own, are noted and welcomed? This is community-driven work; together, we can start to, as mary oliver wrote, announce ourselves in the family of things.

WTF is Health & Nutrition
First and foremost, they’re not really about what you eat (or don’t eat), what time you eat (or don’t eat) and how many supplements / “superfoods” you take. FAR more important are the practices of rest, Accessible movement that feels good, community and friends, creativity, pleasure, and Unconditional permission to eat. without a single plan, number, restriction, or morality, we can reframe your definition of nutrition and health.

Movement (that feels good)
The idea that “exercise” must be breathless, sweaty, long, and compensatory is, for most of us, unsustainable and inaccessible. In this space, we Detangle movement like hiking, running, and yoga from anti-fat, healthist, ageist, ableist, all-sortsa-phobic fitness culture and remember why human bodies want and need to move in the first place. Hint: no fucking step counting.
